Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Thursday inaugurated some local and state government projects in Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Eti-Osa and Shomolu local government areas of the state, saying tax payers’ money would be used for the benefit of all residents.
Ambode, who was represented at the inaugurations by commissioners and other aides, added that the ongoing projects at the 57 councils of the state were in fulfillment of his campaign promise to make life more comfortable for the people.

In Epe, Ambode, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Community and Communications, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, said he would continue to run a government of inclusion.He said, “But everybody must treat the projects as if they belong to them. It is our civic responsibility to ensure that the projects serve the purpose they were built for.
Among the projects inaugurated are blocks of classrooms at St. Theresa’s College, Oke-Oyingbo, a town hall at Ita-Opo, Epe, and a regional water scheme at Otta-Ikosi.
In the Eti-Osa Local Government Area, the governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Akinyemi Ashade, inaugurated 1.9-kilometre Osapa London Road, while a block of 16 classrooms was inaugurated at Kuramo Primary School in the Iru-Victoria Island Local Council Development Area. Also, a job registration and labour exchange centre was inaugurated in the Eti-Osa LGA.
In the Shomolu LGA, Ambode, who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Art and Culture, Mrs. Adebimpe Akinsola, inaugurated a primary health centre, a diagnosis centre and a 400-metre road in the Bariga LCDA.
In the Ibeju Lekki LGA, Ambode, who was represented by the Special Adviser, Food Security, Ganiu Sanni, inaugurated the Origanrigan and Awoyaya PHC, saying it was in line with his administration’s zero tolerance for maternal mortality.
