Every year we spend way too much time poring over Oscar fashion, but our own dress fantasies have nothing on one little girl’s. Not content with an off-the-rack, synthetic princess dress, this six-year-old is taking dress-up to a whole new level by crafting replica Oscar dresses out of paper.

Along with her mum, Angie Keiser, the talented youngster, known as ‘Mayhem’ on Instagram used tissue paper, gift wrap, foil and other household items to recreate the dresses worn by Hollywood’s finest at Sunday’s Oscars. And they are absolutely uh-mazing!

This isn’t the first time Mayhem has caused an online stir with her impressive home-made creations. Two years ago, after noticing her daughter was growing tired of playing with her toys, the photographer suggested they make a dress out of tissue paper. Mayhem loved the idea and since then the duo has replicated dresses from many red carpet events including The Grammys and, of course, the Oscars and have racked up over 494,000 followers on Instagram.

Mayhem’s interpretation of this year’s hottest Oscar looks include Alicia Vikander’s pale yellow Louis Vuitton dress, Brie Larson’s royal blue Gucci gown and Cate Blanchett’s stunning Armani Prive number.
