The wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has started the distribution of relief materials to the less privileged in Bauchi State, even as she has expressed deep concern over the difficulties in the country.
Mrs. Buhari, who performed the ceremony at the Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Hall, in Bauchi, on Wednesday, said the gesture was aimed at alleviating the hardship Nigerians were passing through.

“As you are aware, the insurgency in some states in the North-East of the country has destabilised a lot of people and crippled their farming and other activities,” she said.She said that the distribution was an indication of the government’s avowed commitment and concern for the welfare of the weak and vulnerable groups in the society.
