Wike’s regime’ll end soon, says
Peterside
Friday Olokor, Abuja
Although the Supreme Court has given its judgment, the Rivers State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 elections, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, on Sunday predicted that the regime of Governor Nyesom Wike would end very soon.
He also came out with a verdict that the people cannot be deceived with lies and propaganda, no matter how well-crafted. He added that insecurity and violence has grown worse in Rivers State.
The declaration came a day after the Rivers East Zonal Mega Rally, which was held at Okehi, Etche, ahead of the forthcoming rerun elections in the state.
Peterside, who is also the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, expressed this optimism in a statement issued in Abuja by his media team, which was entitled, “Ten important questions for Governor Wike.”
He said, “I have a message for you all; the end has come. Rivers people cannot be deceived by lies and propaganda, no matter how well-crafted. Which government has borrowed more money under one year than all our previous governments from 1967 to date put together?
“Which government withdrew nearly 400 undergraduates sent on scholarship abroad by ex-gov. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to different countries? Which government deceitfully wanted to take credit for projects conceived and delivered by the Amaechi ‘s government?”
But in his reaction, Wike’s Special Assistant (Digital Media), Simeon Nwakaudu, said these were part of the APC propaganda, “which is no longer working.”
He said, “The issue of insecurity, alleged violence and kidnapping were the issues they raised in their campaign rallies attended by about only 150 persons. The campaign rally was like a press conference.”
