Robert Huddleston was born in 1895 and travelled with the sideshow for over 36 years. He was known as Pony Boy. Most people think he was in pain and unhealthy, but Robert was not only okay with his appearance… he was healthier than the average person and found the way he walked completely natural. He died in 1970.
A British woman, Mandy Sellars, was born with a genetic disorder where her legs never stop growing. Since birth, her legs have never let up, and now they’re so heavy it’s hard for Mandy to even walk… using crutches was the only way to get around. The rest of Mandy’s body is completely normal. She had part of her left leg amputated (at the knee) and began using a wheel chair, but the leg has started growing back!
Sure, it might look a bit creepy, but we bet Nick gets a lot of calls from ladies. That’s because Nick Stoeberl is the proud owner of the world’s longest tongue. It measures an astounding 3.98 inches in length… JUST SHY of 4 inches. He can also finish an ice-cream cone in record time!
There’s sexy and then there’s women, like Julia Gnuse, who have tattoos covering 95% of the body. Now THAT’S really sexy. The reason Julia began to get tattoos is because in her 30’s, she developed Porphyria… a skin condition sometimes called an “allergy to the sun”… like vampires. The sun would burn her skin and leave huge scars, so she began to cover them with colorful tattoos of her favorite things. She is officially the most tattooed woman in the world and has been dubbed “The Illustrated Lady.”
Asha Mandela was born in Trinidad and Tobago, but moved to New York at some point. Eventually, she stopped perming and styling her hair only to go out to parks and playgrounds. She began to let it grow. At one point, she got sick and the sickness lasted for 15 years. During that time, to prevent her hair breaking (it was getting weak in areas) she began to tie it in knots. The first time she went for the Guiness World Record, she forgot to untie her hair. Nonetheless, her hair broke the record at 8 feet 6 inches long. The next year, she remembered her hair was tied, so she had it professionally untied and went for the record again. This time, her hair measured 19 feet 6.5 inches!
